The OutLoud slam is coming for you!
The OutLoud poetry slam returns for its 2021 grand final, and thankfully the finalists have rhyming skills far beyond our own! In this special event, OutLoud finalists will perform original poetry and spoken word pieces. The annual competition has three categories for secondary school students: Years 7–8, Year 9 and Years 10–12, with students able to enter as individuals or in teams of up to three.
Prepare to be blown away by performances from the freshest new voices in Australian poetry. Hosted by slam queen Emilie Zoey Baker.
This event is suitable for teens aged 13 – 18 years old.

Luka Lesson
Luka Lesson is a poet and rap artist of Greek heritage. His work engages with the history of his family homeland, the fiercely political and the vulnerably self-reflective. Luka has worked with the Queensland Symphony Orchestra, Akala (UK), Dr Cornel West (USA) and the National Gallery of Victoria.
Luka is a former Australian Poetry Slam Champion and has always used education based programs as a form of activism, making poetry the catalyst for social change.
