Julian Kingma and Andrew Denton: The Power of Choice

Book Now

Award-winning photographer Julian Kingma and broadcaster and voluntary assisted dying advocate Andrew Denton come together for a powerful discussion about dignity, compassion and the revolution of end-of-life care in Australia.

What constitutes a good death? This profound question inspired renowned photographer Julian Kingma to turn his lens on those who have chosen assisted dying, as well as the caregivers who accompany them on their final journey. His book, The Power of Choice, is a collection of these intimate and poignant portraits that illuminate a raw and honest depiction of a deeply sensitive matter.

Join Kingma and Andrew Denton – the founder of Go Gentle, a not-for-profit advocating for the option of voluntary assisted dying at the end of life – for a thought-provoking conversation that delves into the ethical, emotional and societal dimensions of deciding to let go on one’s own terms.

With host Marieke Hardy, they will explore the vital role of choice and dignity in this experience – and why it’s a conversation we may all eventually need to have.
