Casey Jenkins

Casey Jenkins is a queer solo parent by choice to two children and a performance/installation/community artist exploring intimacy, identity and the interplay between modes of power (individual and institutional, perceived and concrete) particularly pertaining to gender. Works range from meditative to disruptive, centering direct interaction and audience collaboration. Jenkins co-founded radical craft groups Craft Cartel and Knit Your Revolt, subverting and honouring techniques disparaged as ‘women’s work’ with street art, workshops and 100% participatory performances. Their art features in documentaries, academic papers and art publications worldwide.
